Eva is a native New Yorker. She was lucky enough to spend the formative years of her childhood in Greenwich Village. She attended Bronx High School of Science, and went on to graduate from Barnard College of Columbia University (cum laude & Dean’s List) with a major in Political Science, and minors in Environmental Science and Sociology. Eva’s interest in housing, land use, and zoning began when she worked on Christine Quinn’s mayoral campaign, where she became exposed to a variety of issues, causes and ideas. Inspired and motivated to do and learn more, Eva attended Fordham University School of Law.
During law school, Eva was a Stein Scholar for Public Interest, helped found the Housing Advocacy Project, and served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal (ULJ), Vol. 45. Eva is most proud of her work on ULJ, where she helped publish scholarly articles centered around juvenile justice, the Close Rikers movement, and affordable housing and zoning. She graduated Fordham Law in May 2018 (cum laude, Dean’s List, and received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, magna cum laude). Eva is a real estate and land use attorney in New York City, and dedicates much of her time and energy to pro bono and land use issues.
